Last year we had a very successful winter indoor hurling league at the Fieldhouse in Parker. The general consensus was that we should do it again. Last year it went from late December thru January unfortunately, this year we could only secure Nov 1st through December 20th. All other time slots were taken. We did research other facilities but they were booked also. So the Parker Fieldhouse it is!

This year however we would like to expand that to football as well. We have obtained the pitch for 90 min each Sunday. The plan is for 40 min of hurling, then 40 min of football. We can rotate each week which sport would play first. This would be 2 x 20 min halves with 2 min break then 5 min break between sports. This is a very tight schedule, however, that is always true with indoor facilities. We must start and finish on time regardless of how many people we have as there are other organizations before and after us.

The minimum needed for each sport is 16; last year we put a max of 24 on the hurling league which seemed to be a good number so we will request the same max for both codes this year. It, of course, is also co-ed. The surface is the same as the artificial surfaces at Dicks so you can wear an indoor shoe or cleats. The cost for the 8 week league will be $50 if you are playing either hurling or football only, or $60 if you intend playing both. This is very good value, most indoor leagues such as soccer run $90+. Time is of the essence, as we are starting Nov 1st, payment is due to the Fieldhouse by this Thursday, October 1st! Pay and do it NOW!
